Documentary Screenings

This spring, Emily Judem and I were proud to participate in two screenings of our documentary on a New York City record store, ‘For The Records’.

The first was hosted by The Greenwich Village Society For Historic Preservation and The New School for Public Engagement. Unfortunately the event was very oversubscribed and we had to turn a lot of people away, so we’re planning another event at the New School in the summer.

A week later, Emily and I participated in another screening of New York Stories with other journalism students from Columbia University at the Bronx Documentary Center. I highly recommend the center for the good work they do.

We had some sad news on the day of the second screening: Bleecker Bob’s landlord has found new tenants for the space. The record store will become a frozen yoghurt store in May, and will close for good on April 13.

‘For The Records’ is still being hosted by Capital New York – you can watch the whole thing here.
